life gets in the way....

Well, I was a little bummed out. I really wanted to play at this challenge! I had my layout all ready but then, life got in the way. My friend had a stay in the hospital and I had her two kids over night and miss Jeanette ran out of gas so i drove down QE2 to find her with my little gerry can. Needless to say by the time I was done baths, lunches and cleaning up supper, I ran out of time. Do go and check out her links for inspiration. I did my lift it up challenge on her Inspire...moment layout.
when I posted the pic, I noticed my little journal tag had fallen! darn! So under it is says 10k and the journal tag is hidden and has my why's for running my first marathon ever.

The second photo is of my calender. Is anyone else finding it hard to take a photo everyday!????
I tend to want to take pictures of people rather than inanimate things but since Vaughn is home everyday there is always more of him. I have taken photos of each of the kids at least once per month so Ic an see how they changed over the year but I am a little behind in February...missed a few days.
And to change the subject kudos to scrap diva for winning the OLW challenge and to you for getting in the slide show!
I think my surprize may be here by Friday so check back for photos. Linda- I am putting a cj in the mail for you and Chanel, I have mine ready to go in the mail for this new one. Did ya get my butterfly yet:(?

Last but not least, here is this weeks quote for 52 weeks:
to love oneself is the beginning of a life long romance. Oscar wilde

This quote is speaking to me because lately I realized how I am always putting others before myself and sometimes sacrificing what I need to do for me in order to be the best I can be. So I am banishing those thoughts of "selfishness" feeling and taking a bit of time each day for myself to work out and get my running in because I will be all around happier and relaxed. SO girls, if you need to drop the hammer and carve out even 5 minutes a day for you- do it!

52 weeks, update

Last week was insane so once again I never posted my 52 weeks quote! Sorry gals...BTW you know who you are, you owe me some emails with your quotes!
Finally got the van picked up and christened it with a new ROXY sticker ha ha! My baby boy was very ill and gave me his sickness so I felt like walking death....
Murphy's law- the kids were with their dad for four days so I went to Banff with Robin, didn't have a fabulous time with my throbbing ear ache, mucus filled sinuses and headache, but since it was a long weekend we had to take the room for at least one night or we couldn't get our money back!Of course I had to be home for Monday and that is when the kids got home and I was feeling much better, I have all the luck! Well, maybe my luck is better than Jeanette's cuz I think she took up what i had, sorry buddy.
My friend Chris convinced me to sign up for a 10k charity run...once I was done rolling on the floor laughing, I didn't hear her laughing with me. She was serious!!! So...
I did it! I signed up and whether I have to have Robin drag my butt across the finish line (ha ha I signed him up too, may need a piggy back), I am going to finish it. We are going to the gym and running on the track so I guess if I don't finish maybe I'll be looking all gym rat sexy, yes, that is a joke.
So here is last weeks quote:all lovey for valentines'
The way to love anything is to realize that it may be lost. Gilbert Chesterton

and this weeks quote:
I love pooh bear and the classic pooh stories. I read them to the kids before bed. I loved this little tidbit:
If you live to be a hundred I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you. AA Milne

I was going to post pics but it has been crazy here! off to the gym then I am going to visit everyone's blogs...I miss you guys!
p.s.- keep watching here for some NEWS

Well things have been crazy at our house! I found a new mini van- New dodge grand caravan with dvd player...and no it is not silver! ha ha, I thought maybe black would be better luck. I can't wait to pick it up but the kids are more excited than me cuz they can watch tv in the car. Since Robin moved to Red Deer though, there will be no 6 hour trips to Whitecourt...maybe we will have to go here instead! She is always fun.Hopefully
she is healing well after her surgery.
I have been keeping up with my 365 days and completed my January layout for the calender. I will post soon. Stacy came over and I scrapped my Feb one...love how it turned out!
Super excited that this etsy shop is up and running as miss thang just adds the wow factor to all her designs and she priced it so us regular gals can afford to buy it without the husband unaware plan! ha ha...but you are going to want one of everything and she takes pay pal! woo hoo!
Due to computer malfunction (please someone send mine to meet with Jude's!!) I am posting last weeks quote and this weeks quote...sorry!
last week:
My friends have made the story of my life. In a thousand ways they have turned my limitations into beautiful privileges, and enabled me to walk serene and happy in the shadows cast by my deprivation. Helen Keller

This week:
everything happens for a reason, it's just a matter of changing your viewpoint until you see it.
For some super cute baby phots check this out! All of our prayers and thoughts have been working cuz this little bug is growing and cute as ever!
And certainly last but not least...no one likes opening the mailbox and seeing bills, bills, bills...so here's your last chance to go here and email her so that you can get some HAPPY MAIL!
Happy scrapping!
